We’re excited to share that Wobby now supports native integration with MotherDuck!
You can now connect your MotherDuck database directly to Wobby and start using AI agents to answer business questions—no dashboards, no SQL, no waiting in line for the data team.
What’s Wobby Again?
Wobby helps teams move beyond dashboards and repetitive reporting work. It lets you create AI agents that sit on top of your data warehouse—whether that’s BigQuery, Snowflake, PostgreSQL, or now even MotherDuck!
These agents are set up by the data team. They define how the agents should behave, what data they can access, and how to interpret your data correctly. Once set up, business teams can interact with the agents using plain language, often directly from tools like Slack or Microsoft Teams.
The agents can answer business questions, generate charts, explain metrics, and summarize results. Everything is guided by rules and definitions set by your data team, so the answers stay accurate and consistent.
To make this work well, Wobby uses features like a semantic layer (to reuse common logic, to understand tables and relationships, etc.) and glossaries (to define business terms), and SQL templates (to reuse common logic). It's designed to give reliable and consistent answers.
And what’s MotherDuck?
MotherDuck is built on DuckDB, a popular in-process SQL database. DuckDB is great when working with data locally, but sometimes your queries need more horsepower. That’s where MotherDuck comes in.
